How can we improve the quality of life in Caracas over a highway that divides the city into two parts? Knowing that in about 50 years, or less, new energies will be developed and motorways and major transportation systems will mutate by new needs and new technologies. This project arises as a possible answer to these questions, builduing productive motorways, besides proposing a new transportation system.
The Francisco Fajardo highway could become an agricultural park. At the height of the Avenida Rio de Janeiro, where 2km along the highway has a higher level, we can imagine a simple framework that covers the top level, creating new spaces for recreation and production for the city. And seize the vehicle level to create a system connecting buses in certain areas of the city to relieve the already overloaded subway and bus systems.
The purpose of an agricultural park is not to feed the entire population of Caracas, not least to establish a community idealism. The purpose of these parks is to raise awareness and to link the neighbors to the world of agriculture and food production, with the sole purpose of improving the quality of life in Caracas.
